Joey, I've written one of the guru's on EvoM about my questions on the IAT and Baro readings on a blow-through setup. that's really all that I need answered and we can get rolling. This is what I know you'll need so far ...
UICP w/ couplers for MAF GM MAF MAF-T New/modified intake pipe, or a filter that will fit on the turbo filter for valve cover vent
If we end up not needing to drill the manifold I'll be happy to help with the install. We can also modify the UICP at Todd's shop ... cut and roll beads on it for the MAF fitment.
Also, I posted in the other thread that you should consider the GFB Stealth FX DV/BOV. It's fully adjustable from full recirc to full VTA and fits the Evo.

| i always thought if you do blowthrough set up you dont have tpo drill anything...
i'll look into the gfb bov. but if i go BT set up and vta anyways it wont matter would it?
since the BT set up will eliminate the stalling.

Yeah, no need for a new DV on blow through.
Well, it seems that way with the drilling. I'm simply asking what happens to the signal for Baro and AIT when you remove the stock MAF? Hopefully Jack will answer soon.

| 999,996,221 Might adopt a kitten this week Went to the pet shop yesterday to get my gf some fish and there were some super cute kittens. Just felt sorry for them... stood there and played with em for over an hour, haha. $100 adoption fee that includes just about everything seems very fair. | |

999,996,219 Lol. BTW, Robb, do you only deal in granite or do you also do tile? I may be looking for materials for a back splash soon.

| Oh, and it's cruel, but you might want to consider a shelter for your adoption. It's less expensive and also helps keep puppy/kittie farms out of business. The people that sell animals to pet shops are generally not the best breeders and the animals are kept in harsh environments. I think it's better to adopt from a shelter and save a life. Your call though ... =) | |

I mainly do the surfaces, granite, marble and quartz. We don't have any tile installers on staff, we usually just send our customers to the local Daltile. (they've got an amazing selection).
I believe the kittens we looked at were from the local pound. The lady said something about them being on display at the Petco on the weekend when there is a larger walkthrough and we'd have to go somewhere else to actually adopt them.
We we're surprised at how few pets the pet stores around us had. They basically only had fish, the one had a two bunnies and a few reptiles.

alright Joey ... you need:
MAF-T GM MAF GM AIT Sensor
the MAF has to be mounted in the UICP, so you'll need a UICP that will work. You also need a metal intake pipe to mount the AIT sensor (pre turbo).

| 999,996,216 look under dejon tools website they have the complete kit to go blowthru set up... i think its like almost $500 for everything. http://evo.dejonpowerhouse.com/goto... evo- intakepipe. on the bottom there is the pipe kit. and for the sensors and GM stuff ... goto... evo- fuel & electronics. there are list of stuff i need. can you go in there and let me know whats all needed and get me a total and i'll just pay you for the parts and yer services with a check or cash whatever you want. i dont wanna bother you with stuff but i really want to show up at your house knowing everything will work. and get it tuned at the same time. i know if i order it i'll screw someting up and it will be a waste of time and gas. thanks and lemme know how much you need for everything so i can send you a check or arrange a payment. | |

Hmmm ... I need to look more in to the term "3S" that they are using in reference to the MAF sensor ... i can only assume that includes the Evo as it means "3 sensor," or MAF, Baro and AIT.
And that site doesn't include the GM AIT sensor ... I'll see if I can find one.

| 999,996,211 i didnt do all the leg work. i wanted to farmiliarize myself with the system a lil and know about what im getting... the details i'll leave that to the tuner. which in this case is you. i need you to do it cuz i dont wanna mess up. besides yous gonna be tuning it so i need you to get it all. thats how most tuners do right? sell parts and tune it. instead of just tuning. | |

Tuner =/= Salesman
I'm happy to help, but I'm honestly as new to the setup as you are. I know how it works and how to tune it, but all of the parts involved are still not clear. You've been told that AIT isn't needed but I know that the AIT signal has to be somewhere. The GM MAF might generate it ... I just don't know.

| 999,996,209 well i need YOU to make sure that AIT sensor is needed or not... here is the kit that makes it w/o getting a smaller battery. http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?model=evo&cat=engine&prodid=1318i mean if its gonna be cheaper.. almost about the asame price to get AEM i would. since there are few people selling AEM for 1200$ on evom. but then i would still need AIT sensor and bunch of other stuff to run AEM... only problem with AEM though is emmission and cold start... i dont have to doit here on my county but you never know... | |

| also ive heard that i would need AIT and it needs to be in specific place to get the right reading??
... ??? !!! AHHHHHH~!!!!!!
damn it i have a headache... its not like i dont have enough problems as is...
you tell me which way to go since you gonna be tuning it. AEM or blowthrough.
i know AEM set up will cost roughly $13~1400 and bt set up will be under 1k$

| I'd still go blowthrough.
That box is another module like the MAF-T. IT modifies the MAF signal so it's usable with the stock ECU, same as the MAF-T.
