Yes, you can drive w/o a tune, but you will run a little leaner. That might cause knock seeing as it's winter and you're already running leaner due to the air density. It's recommended to tune.

Broiled skrimp ... Baked skrimp ... Skrimp kabobs ... Skrimp salad ...
I may do the lemonpepper Amberjack again ... BTW, the Fish Market downtown isn't nearly as good as 280, though most people disagree. Everything downtown was swimming in oil, and that's saying A LOT given the usual state of the food on 280.

Nice write up. So, the Buschur can replaces the PCV and calls for removal of the valve cover vent as well? Does it re-route bypass oil to the pan via the dipstick?

that sounds correct. I removed my pcv valve, removed my lil filter on the valve cover. excess oil is drained back into the oil pan via dipstick tube.

I really want to do the cams now, I just wish I could just find a really good deal on them. 550-600 for 2 cams is a lil high for me.

what is teh difference between fp red and pf green? its $100 more for the red. im assuming its a slightly better/bigger compressor wheel?
how much later does the full boost hit with red?
what size injectors should this turbo need?
what is the version to look for in a green? (something about a blade count?? ...)

| 999,996,091 hahahaha, my bday was 6 months ago If you buy from forced performance, you shouldnt have to worry about blade count. if you buy private hand, you want the 6 blade evo 9 turbo. I got swindled last year and was sold a Evo 8 tme green. It turned out to be a 5 blade, larger impeller blade on a evo 8 turbo housing. I really want to sell my whole 30r kit and get a t/s hta 35 kit. When are you seriously going to buy a turbo kit? | |

the Red is more of a drag/top end turbo and the green has more midrange and faster spool. If you are even considering the Green, I would consider you look in to the CBRD BBK turbo instead. If you want top end on a stock frame, the Red is the right choice.
You'll lose a couple hundred RPM spool with the Green and 300 or so more with the Red. The BBK lite will spool faster than stock and the full will be stock like ... maybe 100 RPM slower at most.

well im debating which set up to go with.
since i got the o2 dump i'll be enjoying that for a bit and upgrade... but i wanted to keep the dump since i paid a good bit for it...
30r would need me to get rid of the dump.
CRBD turbo you mentioned sounds good. it all depends on whether how much i like the new dump pipe. if i lilke it an satisfied witht the results then i wont need a bigger turbo if not... well i'll get something.

| 999,996,088 well depending on the kit you get, you will still have a VTA dump for the wastegate. I almost wish mine was recirculated tho. Cant hear if there is a prob under the hood when all you hear is "WWWWWWAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH" from the dump | |

Most big turbo kits utilize external WGs that are not recirculated.

yes. my hafe set up is weird. the manifold is made with the v-band for the tial 44 wastegate, yet the hafe o2 housing is made with the flange for a tial 38 wastegate. So i made a block off plate for the o2 housing and just run VTA the wastegate dumptube.

The O2 housing is flanged for a WG? That makes no sense ...

| 999,996,083 It is designed to be recirculated if you wanted it to be. I think it is stupid. Plus I hate that it is a 2.5 discharge. I cant use it with a 35r like I want to. I want to run a true 3in from turbine to just past the k member then a 4in from there out the back. | |
