I just took the MSF and got my license

edit: make sure you read the DMV booklet at least 3 or more times, they ask the questions very tricky and you basically have to remember the exact words from the book to get the questions right (they have similar answers) but its a total breeze if you read the booklet.

It's MOM (motorcycle operator manual) and not MSF handbook.

Are they the same thing? if not, can I get your copy?

MOM = the DMV version, its what you'll need to read and read and read again to go take you permit test.

the MSF book is worded a bit differently - its very similar to the MOM DMV booklet but you should rather just read through the MSF book after you've gotten your permit (it might confuse you in the test).

This is an older version of the MSF - but still good to look through.

You'll love riding man - it just incredible how two wheels and applying yourself constantly makes 30mph so much fun!

Yes sir - I bought my bike from a guy on GSB
I purchased my helmet, gloves, jacket and boots from Honda Motorsports in McDonough.

I have a Scorpion EXO 700 Helmet, ICON Merc leather jacket, Alpinestars gloves and Oxtar books. I also have some ICON boots.

i'm thinking it'll run more than $1000 to buy gears. gloves, boots, helmet, jacket, backsaver thing, pants...

that's a lot of money. A good leather jacket alone costs $500 at least.

Helmet = Scorpion makes a very very decent cost effective helmet $200
I got my leather jacket for around $300, its an ICON, it full grain leather.

Gloves = $60 for Alpinestars and my Oxtar boots were $130 and my ICON boots were $90

oh and check our www.newenough.com (everything they sell is brand new, just a weird name for a company) - they have excellent pricing and customer service.

But its always best to go try on different helmets, gloves, jackets and boots to see which fits you best - we're all designed and shaped a bit differently so some brands may feel more comfortable to you than me.

The evo is an amazing car and butt loads of fun at that but a bike - man its a different world.
I've been on and off dirt bikes throughout growing up but it does not compare to riding on the street
