| After his cam install ... sorry that there isn't a before graph for comparison. These numbers are close to Mustang numbers ... maybe a few HP higher. EDIT :: Updated graph to reflect correct tire size ... | |

| In the words of Borat, "Very nice!"
He has HKS 280's? Some phantom knock also?

| Not HKS ... Brian Crower. The phantom knock issues were related to the cams, but they were a bit odd. Basically, the MIVEC map I'd set up for the stock cams was causing the knock sensor to peg at 35 which pulled loads of timing and kicked him directly to the low octane maps. Reworking the MIVEC map fixed the issue and freed up some power.
The interesting thing is that on Sunday after the auto-x, he threw several fault codes. They were; coolant temp sensor malfunction, crank position sensor malfunction and knock sensor 2 low voltage. It also seems that the AFR target has changed somehow in closed loop ... he was idling fine at 14.7 on Saturday and now it's around 16 but the ECU isn't really correcting for it.
We aren't sure why these codes tripped but I'm looking in to an explanation today. My gut tells me that maybe it's slightly off time from the cam install. That could also explain the false knock from the MIVEC settings as they would contradict the readings from the CPS and maybe confuse the ECU.

| I wouldn't think it's from an install, since if there was a problem with the install, you would get the code immediately.
it could be that spin out actually triggered something. I use to get codes to when my evo spun around.
that and joey's car is difficult, just like the owner. lol

| I do think the stall after the spin did something, but the AFR is still confusing me a little. It was fine after the tune on Saturday and then off on Sunday. I wonder if he re-calibrated the WB ... | |

| it should of been running rich, not lean.
my understanding is that you need to reset the ecu if you get a crank sensor code to do a hard ecu reset.
but i don't know, that's confusing, the whole idle lean.

| Joey had a TopSpeed tune before he came to me. Scott simply did what most tuners do and used a tuned map from a similar car for a baseline. | |
