Its a pipe - if its fits, thats all good IMHO
I've had Megan pipes - just as good as my previous HKS, Greddy, Thermal R&D, Turbo XS
You already have a cat-back?

i know a pipe is a pipe but only reason i ask is because downpipes have more bends and winds... so if one is straighter then the other...

Megan is best bang for the buck. I have had one on an evo since 03 and it has lasted just fine.

Yeah, you can go with pretty much anything for a DP on a VIII. Megan isn't any worse than other brands and it's more affordable. No reason to drop extra change for no extra benefit.
