MR Transmission Drain/Fill Plug Empty
PostSubject: MR Transmission Drain/Fill Plug   MR Transmission Drain/Fill Plug EmptyMon Jan 28, 2008 12:17 am

Just to let you guys know, the drain and fill plugs on the 6-speed transmission are different. They require a 10mm allen. I recommend a socket-style allen key, but I was able to remove both with the normal "L" shaped allen wrench. The fill plug is removed easiest from the top of the engine bay when using the normal "L" shaped allen wrench.

The 6-speed also uses less fluid than the 5-speed. Around 2.5 quarts should fill it nicely ...

The other drain plugs are all 24mm and the fill plugs are 17mm, just as they are on the normal 5-speed cars.
