Mitsubishi Evo VIII/IX TuningBasic Remote Tune: $200*
This includes tuning of fuel, timing, idle, VVT**, rev limits, and boost limits. This option will suffice for most Evo owners with basic bolt on parts.
* This option requires the customer to have access to an OpenPort/Tactrix/EvoScan logging/flashing cable and a laptop computer.
** Variable valve timing, or MIVEC. Only available on Evo IX models.Basic Street/Dyno Tune: $300*
This includes tuning of fuel, timing, idle, VVT**, rev limits, and boost limits. This option will suffice for most Evo owners with basic bolt on parts. This price also includes use of an LM-1 wideband air/fuel monitor***. Times for a street/dyno tune must be scheduled with Project Tuning via our Web site,
http://www.projecttuning.com.* Price does not include any fees for dyno time.
** Variable valve timing, or MIVEC. Only available on Evo IX models.
*** Requires working 12v power adapter/cigarette lighter power source in vehicle.Remote Re-Tune: $80If you already have a Project tune and change your setup we are happy to accommodate. This price applies to remote tuning for primary or secondary tunes.
Street/Dyno Re-Tune: $100If you already have a Project tune and change your setup we are happy to accommodate. This price applies to street and dyno tuning* for primary or secondary tunes.
* Price does not include any fees for dyno time.Race/Secondary Remote Tune: $80This covers a second tune for race fuel, E85 or methanol/water injection. This price also applies if you are using Tephra's patch for map switching. This price applies to remote tuning.
Race/Secondary Street/Dyno Tune: $100This covers a second tune for race fuel, E85 or methanol/water injection. This price also applies if you are using Tephra's patch for map switching. This price applies to street and dyno tuning*.
* Price does not include any fees for dyno time.Tune optionsBelow, you'll find additional options beyond basic tuning. When we discuss your tuning needs during the initial consultation, we will recommend any options that are required for your setup. The prices listed apply to remote, street and dyno tunes, as well as re-tunes if the option is added after your first Project tune was purchased. You will not be charged twice for a tune option.
Injector Scaling: $35This is needed if you install larger injectors or increase fuel pressure/flow.
Injector scaling for E85 with Tephra's map switching: $45If you use the Tephra Mod patch for switching between a pump gas and E85 tune, you will need separate injector scaling values for the different fuels. This option covers scaling the injectors twice for this setup.
Map Axis Rescaling: $20This is a common item for Evo VIII models, engines revving higher than 8000 RPM, turbo upgrades and E85/race gas/meth setups. Axis values in the ECU maps are rescaled to allow for control at higher boost/RPM levels.
Tephra Patch with new Project Tune: $25*
Tephra Patch Only: $35*
This is a patch for the stock ECU ROM that adds many useful features, including map switching**, a knock light, no-lift shift capability, auto-ICS spray*** and a valet rev limit.
* $10 of each purchase goes to the author of the patch.
** For the '05 Evo VIII this option requires disabling the vehicles immobilizer, a theft prevention device. '05 Evo VIII and '06 Evo IX models require installation of a hardware switch for map switching function.
*** Option only available for '03 and '04 models with intercooler spray function.ECU based Boost Control: $40Control boost above stock levels with RPM and gear based targets. This function will work with the stock boost control system* or with aftermarket 3-port boost control solenoids.
* Requires minor physical modification to the system.Mitsubishi 3bar MAP sensor setup: $10*
This is needed if you install Mitsubishi's 3bar MAP sensor found on JDM IX or USDM/JDM Evo X models. This sensor can be used to log manifold boost levels in excess of 30psi and is a direct bolt on solution for boost logging. The logged boost values from this sensor may also be used as targets for ECU controlled boost control.
* Not available for EDM VIII or IX models.----------------------------------------------------------
Pricing ExampleA customer has an Evo IX with an FP Green turbo, 1000cc injectors and cams along with the usual basic bolt-ons. He wants to use ECU based boost control with the 3bar MAP sensor and switch between 93 octane and E85 maps. He has a Tactrix cable and will be getting tuned remotely.
