I has one ... but it's installed in my car.

Just a note on this ... I can actually hear my DV straining to hold boost after about 22 psi. The spring just can't take it. After about 4500 RPM I don't notice it as much, but that might have to do with the car just being louder and drowning it out.

I would honestly suggest going for a good aftermarket DV that is adjustable.

I have one, I want to replace it with a Tial.

Hey matt, how hard is it to tune for one of those, as that is the deciding factor.

Talked to Dustin, I think we are going to try it this weekend and see how the car acts.

Switching from the MR DV to a vta Tial will require tuning, that is why I am asking my tuner what issue will arrise and the best course of action if I do make the switch.

If you can recirculate the Tial, there shouldn't be a problem. If you plan to leave it as VTA, then there will be a problem. Sadly, with a VTA valve and a MAF based system, there isn't much I can do electronically to correct for it. You are just confusing the hell out of the ECU by venting metered air at idle and cruise ... it's a mechanical issue.

The fixes are:
A) Blow thru MAF setup
B) Speed Density setup

what is involved in speed density? and maf? I have a gm maf already, (not installed) which is easier to do?

GM MAF allows more airflow than the stock one ... that won't really matter unless you set it up as a blow through style. I can look in to what is needed for this if you want to go that route. Basically, you just use the MAF to meter the air after the BOV rather than before it. You do have to tweak the ECU for this to work though and it will require some custom piping work.

Speed density requires LOTS or ROM work as you have to reprogram the car to run off of a MAP sensor rather than the MAF. If you want to go this route, it's really better to look at stand alone options.

yeah no stand alone Smile I can do the gm maf blow thru more easily then. Do I need to get one of those maf translators? The custom piping wouldnt matter too much, I can just cut my pipe where the temp sensor from the AEM (when the pipe was installed in another car) is jb welded in.

Yeah, I decided against it. I need to buy a condensor more than another BOV
