RobiSpec Basic+

Robert Fuller (RobiSpec) was in So. Fla over the weekend and I had him install the GTWorx springs (thanks again Matt) on the MR struts and do his Basic Setup plus install the Whiteline rollcenter kit.

What a difference! The handling is noticably better, less steering input to initiate a turn, it takes a set quicker and rotates now vice the feeling of dragging it's ass around a turn. The seat of the pants feel is that the back is alive and Robi explaind that the car will get sidways now if you want. He cautioned that if the car does start to spin, DO NOT counter steer as this will agravate it. He said just center the wheel and mat the pedal, the fronts will correct the spin and the car just goes where it's pointed.

At midnight I'm out tear assing around on a cloverleaf on the Fla turnpike laughing my head off, the difference is night and day.

Go to http://www.robispec.com/ and watch the 2 clips in the intro, you'll get an idea of what I'm talking about. IMO, it was money WELL spent!

That sounds great man ... I'm really glad you are happy with the springs and I can't wait to have my own set.

BTW, I sent this link to Andrew at GTWorx and he liked your review.

I really am! They are stiffer than stock but the ride quality has improved no more jiggle just driving around.

Awesome! Glad to hear you like our springs. Definitely sounds like Robi set them up right, so that's good to hear too.

I'm embaressed by how dirty my car is. I'm starting a new job in 2 weeks and I've been busy finding a place to live and getting our "stuff" ready to move. I'll try soon. In truth, it's hard to see the drop.

well i also talked to robert lastnight at 10 pm. lol

i decided to get the kw's ...race coils or something he mentioned (not the regular or the clubsport)... i need to call hhim again and see what im getting. lol

well see how much i like it.

im also told that if i get the coils from him i wont need the front sway that i got so i guess that will be up for sale.

i'll make a new review once i get mine in.

I think you will be pleasently surprised Joey especially if you get Robi to set up your suspension and align the car the next time he's in the area.

Take some tissues with you on your first ride, wouldn't want to mess up the upholstery!

Only if you scare yourself if you push hard enough to get the car to rotate (see RobiSpec intro vid). Once you know what that feels like you'll only need the tissues.

oh i know what it feels like when your as end comes sliding off. especially when your ass end faces the cliffs.

i got a vid footage of me almost loosing it on youtube...
