On Saturday, I spent about 5 hours tuning a 2.5 WRX w/ UTEC to no avail. Tuning UTEC makes me appreciate ECUFlash so much more ... too bad no one has written cool patches for ECUFlash for the Subarus so they don't have to get UTEC for launch control or NLTS.
I also assembled my office on Sunday only to find that my PC will not boot. It will very slowly reach the Windows user selection screen, then restart itself. Lovely. I was planning to get Vista soon anyway ...

Hey, when we start tuning my Evo, can we put the NLTS and the MIL flash for knock in it?

Sure. It'll be easier to do at the start anyway ... should we set a 4k limiter and cut off the boost till it's broken in as well? =P

I've been putting up sheet rock the past couple of days. Walls of the bonus room is finished. Starting with the ceiling tonight then paste-sand-paint-trim-floors then onto the bath room tiles and stuff.
Anyone got the iphone? | |

Deff kill the boost, I would like the limiter at 4500. I will plumb the factory boost solenoid back up when I put it together. Is there a way you can remove the rear O2 sensor and the EGR sensors from the ECU so I dont get a MIL from them?

| I can disable the MAP check that the EGR runs and the Rear O2 (I think ... requires a resistor), but you will likely still get a CEL from the EGR. The fault checks aren't defined on the Mitsu's like they are on the Scoobies. | |

| 999,999,463 NLTS = No Lift To Shift. You hold 100% throttle while shifting. The ECU cuts fuel so the revs decrease, but the throttle plate doesn't close and you therefore don't go in to vacuum and don't lose boost. Here is a demo ... this particular car has the RPM drop set to 100 and that means that the injectors will come back 100 RPM below the point where the clutch was depressed. This is VERY low for the drop, but it makes cool noises I guess. My drop is set to 650 and I don't usually make it down that far ... MIL is apparently a check engine or service engine light. I'm not sure what MIL actually stands for. | |

Thanks for educating my noobness....
I'd heard of the NLTS, but didn't even think about that when I saw the acronym.

It's also referred to as "flat shifting."
This Wednesday sucks ... I've got to present at some silly meeting at this private club downtown. I can't stand the idea of the place ...

| 999,999,459 MIL= malfunction indicator lamp. It was the term taught to me through out high school and college, so it stuck with me. I guess I should get the parts back together to get the EGR back working again, huh? ------- Suite à un grand nombre de réponses, ce sujet a été automatiquement divisé.
