So I just traded in my VIII for a XI MR and I want to drop it a little. Anyone have any experience with the megan racing street coilovers? I know they are cheaper than some other brands but when you buy from makers like Tein, JIC, Apexi, HKS, ect... you are paying for the name too. Is this suspension worth investigating or should I just pay top dollar? I'm only using them for the street and the occasional auto X. Buy the way, the MR is Beast!

I got them and... I absolutely LOVE THEM!
I'd rather walk than drive around without them. (notm really - aha MR FTW!).

Congrats on the 'upgrade'

Do a little research on the MR's Bilstein struts. Many people just add springs and camber plates to them. The Bilsteins are amazing struts and are already set up very nicely for the Evo's handling characteristics. So, consider getting springs and plates before tossing out a great suspension just because it's stock. To go with the Megans would technically be a down grade on the struts.

Personally, I'm going with the GTWorx springs and camber plates for my auto-x setup.

Lowering will f-up front end geometry, and create more lean. If you run sticky tires, and do track or fast mountain run, you may want to consider strongly...If you look at my avitar, thats about 85 mph going into turn one at Road A, and you can see the dive of the front left. I have since installed Whiteline ceter roll kit, and rear bump steer kit. The lean was reduced by 50 to 60 %....turn in super sharp as well. Just something to think about.

Megan's are great. I would get it.

Stay away from K Sport. I just been researching, and they're horrible.

If you want something simple setup, i would think about omni. They're not as adjustable as some of the other coilovers, but they're good from what I hear.

Got some Swift MR springs. They work really good with the stock bilsteins and the drop isn't too agressive. I don't auto x or track so for my dd they are fine. I am looking at the megan exhaust though.
