mitsubishi has a p0300 fix. I had the p0300 fix flash at the mitsubishi dealership and never had another mis-fire again on stock ECU. To warn you, yes, it will delete your aftermarket flash that you have on the ECU after the misubishi flashes your ECU.
once you decide to upgrade your mods, the problem may rest on the amount of power + fuel vs the spark timing.
It could most likely that your tuning is not right. but most likely the gapping on the spark plug is wrong. You need to close the gap of the spark plug to .25 or so in order for you to get the right spark out of the spark plugs. If the spark plug isn't the problem, you're looking at the timing + fuel delievery. Most likely that your tuning is effecting the fire sequence and timing on the spark.
I used copper plugs for a long time and after getting rid of the iridium plugs, along with a good ECU flash, the mis-fire went away completely at around 300+whp.

DTC P0335: Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit
DTC P0340: Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit
When both of these sensors come up, it's a serious problem and it could very much hurt the engine. However, this could be caused by the sensors being wet.
Make sure to listen to the engine, and hear that there are no irregular noise and engine's idle is good. Most likely if these 2 codes do come up, you'll have irregular and rough idle and you'll hear a loud ticking noise from the engine.
When my codes went off, it was due to the moisture coming into the engine bay by the vent on the hood. I had the vent cover off and it was raining a lot. Once the engine is turned off immediately, you could dry the car, sensors and clear the code. If you turn the engine on again and it keeps on coming up, turn the car off immediately and call the dealership. don't drive your car!
