| Subject: Exhaust Fitment Question: JDM vs USDM IX Tue Jul 31, 2007 2:51 pm | |
| This should be a quick question and answer ...
I just came in to possession of a Monster Sport cat back that had previously been installed on a USDM '03 VIII. I have a USDM IX.
I noticed that on the Monster Sport site it lists a different part number for IX fitment. I assume that this IX specific fitment is for the JDM rear bumper. is this the case? And, since I have the USDM rear bumper, it should fit just like it does on the VIII, right?
I just wanted to verify. I can't bolt it up yet because I need gaskets.

| I also had that concern when I was shopping around for a used cat-back exhaust. I found that the only difference were that the o2 sensor holes were in diff. locations (some had a bung on the midpipe which needed a plug).
I'd say you 100% safe to assume it will fit without any problems. My TurboXS came off a VIII and fits perfectly on my IX.

| Thats what I thought ... seeing the IX specific fitment on the site just made me wonder ... it has to be the bumper difference on the JDM model. Thanks for the help. | |
